Norway Cup 2026: how to follow your team's matches live
The world's largest youth football tournament — and how to carry your team's matches home to everyone who couldn't travel.
What is Norway Cup?
Norway Cup is the world's largest football tournament for children and young people, organised by Bækkelagets Sportsklub at Ekebergsletta in Oslo every summer since 1972. Teams travel from all over Norway and from 50–60 nations for a week of football and friendship.
Recent editions have gathered roughly 1,400–2,000 teams a year (a record 2,183 in 2023) and tens of thousands of players. For many families it is the highlight of the year.
When and where: Norway Cup 2026

Classes and format
Norway Cup is played across many classes by age and gender:
- 11-a-side for the older classes.
- 9-a-side for 12- and 13-year-olds.
- 7-a-side for several of the younger classes.
The youngest classes often play without standings, while older classes work through group play into a knockout and finals.
Fixtures and results
The official fixtures, tables and results are on norwaycup.no and in the tournament's own app. Some matches are also carried on streaming and live-score sites during the week.
z2play is not the official results source — but it is the easiest way to let your own team's supporters follow every match live, with a running commentary on top of the bare score.
How family back home follows your team live
Many players travel a long way — often from abroad — while grandparents, siblings and friends stay home. That is exactly where z2play helps:
- One person on the team (a parent or coach) starts the match in z2play and picks football.
- Share the link in the team chat — family opens it in a browser, nothing to install.
- Say what's happening — the AI turns it into a live commentary feed and keeps the score updated in real time.
Everyone at home gets the feeling of standing on the touchline — goal by goal, match by match, all week.
Other big youth tournaments
Is your team touring the summer cups? The same idea works for the other big Scandinavian youth tournaments — Gothia Cup in Gothenburg and Dana Cup in Hjørring. Whatever the tournament, one person can carry the matches home to those who can't be there.
